28 Weeks of Pregnancy

How your baby's growing:
By this week, your baby weighs 2 1/4 pounds (about the size of a large eggplant) and measures 14.8 inches from the top of her head to her heels.
She can blink her eyes, which now sport lashes. With her eyesight developing, she may be able to see the light that filters in through your womb. She's also developing billions of neurons in her brain and adding more body fat in preparation for life in the outside world.

How am I feeling this week?
Totally glorious, now that I feel more about my unborn's punching, squirming and kicking, it gives me the comfortable feeling that our baby is healthy and alive. This week got my 3 hour glucose test and the result came that I have an abnormal result. Yes! I was diagnosed to have a Gestational Diabetes, which never happened during my first pregnancy. I guess something wrong with my body to begin with and yes, never watch what I was eating until now.

Has to meet a dietician in order to help me monitor and watch my blood sugar since, I'm eating for two, this would help me eat the right amount of food as well as giving our baby a healthy food.

This week also was the start of my Fetal Movement Assessment, meaning every evening I have to record the amount of time it takes for our baby to move and/or kick ten times. This will be done beginning at 28 weeks and ends when I deliver the baby. It's fun to record such movement and compare them each night.
