What I do whenever we have left very ripe banana

For some reason, I am not a big banana eater, I guess I get tired of eating them while growing up. My father worked on a Banana Plantation before and after his office hours whenever it was a harvest month he brings boxes of unripe bananas at home. We do share them with relatives and friends and we do end up eating them as snacks as my mother loves to boil the unripe banana then dipped it with a fermented anchovy or  brown sugar, either way you want it to be.

Growing up the only favorite banana that I can eat more than twice a day is the Asian Plantain. I love the texture and just irresistible for me no matter what.

Anyways, I never like to throw things so whenever we have ripe bananas at home that won't consume before it rots, this is one of the ways to use the bananas and not to waste them.
The best banana muffin recipe I have used on this one and I will be keeping it.

  3. I haven't made banana bread in a long time because bananas are consumed at home while they're at their peak. This is a great idea to make sure that they're consumed instead of trashing them out.

  4. we usually consume all our bananas, however, if some shows they are getting ripe faster than we could consume, I peel them, cut them up and put in freezer, to be added to smoothie. I love banana muffins!!

  7. I love banana muffins and banana loaf bread. I wish I could try and make some myself but I don't have an oven. I have to find recipes for baking stuff using a microwave. I know its possible but I just have to be diligent in finding those dang recipes. One tip for you sis, bananas have a longer shelf life if you keep them in the refrigerator. :)

  9. Bananas here at home don't even rot because I have monkeys!!! We eat a lot of bananas here and I purposely buy over ripe bananas just to be able to make banana bread. :-)
