My Homemade Pork Afritada

Whenever I get bored, I've always come up with a new different Filipino Dish to make for the family. I believe it's part of being homesick and since it's impossible for us to visit homeland right away, bringing them, here is what I've always done and by making a homemade Filipino dish makes me feels like in the country.

I don't like complicated ingredients so I choose the simplest and quickest recipe and for the people of 3 I don't need to make a huge meal, which saves time and money. It was this month when I make a homemade Pork Afritada. What does it contain off? Pork, potatoes, green peas, sausage, tomato sauce and condiments.

The procedure is very simple and glad that it turned out wonderful. It was a dinner meal for the family and I'm satisfied to see that my husband and son loves the food.

  1. Wow, that looks delicious Mommy Nova, can I have some please? hehehe

  2. YUMMY! one of my fave. I'll let my wife check this post.

  3. My bears love pork afritada too. I will let you in on my secret. I add a small can of liver spread when the pork is almost tender. It thickens the sauce and also gives a nice flavor to the dish.

  4. Oh my! I miss cooking afritada! I haven't cooked dinner for a long time now because of my work. I wish I could make like this and adobo too!!! Yummy!

  5. My husband loves it too! That looks so delish. Care to share how you did it?
